How do I set up convly to manage WhatsApp messages from Slack?

Install convly in Slack, link your WhatsApp account with a QR code, and choose how conversations sync.

  1. Install the convly app in your Slack workspace.

  2. Open the convly app in Slack, click Add account, and choose WhatsApp. When the QR code appears, grab the phone with your WhatsApp account (standard or Business), open WhatsApp, and go to Settings → Linked Devices → Link a device. Scan the QR code shown in Slack.

  3. Your WhatsApp account now appears in the Accounts section. Click Edit next to it to choose how conversations sync:

    • Auto sync on: every WhatsApp conversation with new activity automatically creates a Slack channel.
    • Auto sync off: you pick which conversations to sync manually via Sync Conversations.

    Either way, you can always sync an older conversation manually, even with Auto sync enabled.

  4. If you chose Sync Conversations, your 10 most recent chats appear. Use the search box to find any conversation by phone number, chat name, or participant, then click Sync. Repeat for as many conversations as you'd like.

  5. From now on, new WhatsApp messages land in Slack and you can reply right from there.
